Chairman of the Wood /Furniture Products Sectoral Group of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria, Mrs. Ngozi Oyewole states that the interior industry in Nigeria is challenged by a lack of power and an increase in the price of diesel amongst other issues affecting the industry, industry experts and investors in the sector.

She made this statement in an interview on the 25th of May 2022 to celebrate World Interior Day. She stated that this year’s celebration by the Wood/Furniture Products Sectoral Group of Manufactures Association of Nigeria – MAN would be marked with a webinar tagged “Pride Of The Past, An Incentive For The Future” in a bid to celebrate innovation and a future-forward look at the profession while honoring the past and learning from its experiences. “The webinar would help industry experts express and share their creativity but most especially understand the relevance of our work as architects and interior designers”, she said.

She mentions that the webinar would showcase industry experts who are also members of the sectoral group as panelists and moderators of the webinar they are: Mr. Odun Emasealu, MD, Interior Woodwork Ltd, Mrs. Bolaji Dada, GMD, Origin Furniture Ltd, Mr. Tosin Amushan, MD, Grant Quartermaine Ltd and Ms. Angela Agidi, MD, Chutzpah Int Ltd will be the moderator. “We thank the President of MAN, Engr Mansur Ahmed FNSE, FNIM, the Director General Mr. Segun Ajayi – Kadri mni, and our sectoral team who gave us the platform to express our challenges”, she mentioned.

She stated that the webinar was focused on gathering everyone in the industry to explore, learn, discover, create and most importantly celebrate the impact of our built environment on all human action and behavior as they have chosen to celebrate innovation and a future-forward look at the profession. Mrs. Ngozi Oyewole is the Founder of NOXIE Limited and the convener of the webinar held on Tuesday 31st of May in commemoration of World Interiors Day 2022.
